Award Overview
The Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce, adhering to the mission of supporting
Asian American business entrepreneurship in Virginia has established a Scholarship
Program that awards scholarships to qualified students attending accredited Virginia
colleges and universities. Scholarship funds awarded to students are granted
to support their academic study activities.
In its first scholarship program year, the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce through the Virginia Asian Foundation will award scholarships to three qualified and most deserving students.
Award winners will be recognized for a combination of their dedication, academic achievement, creative arts, innovative intellectual property ideals and science programs, 'Green' initiatives, and commitment to community service. All scholarships awarded will directly contribute and benefit student's academic endeavors.
Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the Virginia Asian Chamber Gala to be held on Wednesday December 1, 2010 at the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia.

The mission of the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce Student Scholarship Award Program is to help promote the entrepreneur spirit in students by empowering them with support and resources to educate them with respect to the merit of entrepreneurship and business opportunities and challenges in the global market.
We do this by offering annual scholarships to imemdiate family members or household members of the VACC who are in their junior and senior years pursuing studies that might lead to a career in business/economics, management, and law,; nternational business, international law, and international affairs and related fields.

The Asian Chamber Annual Business Awards program is a statewide awards program recognizing success and innovation across all industry sectors. The awards honor Asian American entrepreneurs and other business leaders through the acknowledgement of innovative processes, entrepreneurial excellence, and overall business success.
There are two (2) distinct categories of Awards for Excellence divided into eight (8) diverse award titles. Receiving an award is an independent and prestigious endorsement of your organization and a formal validation of the quality of your organization, products, and services.
For entrepreneurs, entering the Asian Business of Excellence Awards provides the opportunity to gain statewide and national exposure while celebrating your organization and business success. The judging panel is carefully coordinated to ensure that the judging process is fair, objective, and free of bias or influence.

About The Small Business Awards Category
Easy Entry Submission
Submitting an entry provides your company with the opportunity to identify its business core strengths. The two awards represent an excellent opportunity for Asian American companies to gain that competitive advantage by having their achievements recognized while highlighting their best accomplishments.
Businesses are encouraged to nominate someone or self-nominate. Entrants may participate in multiple award categories. However, a separate submission must be submitted for each award category entered.
Conditions of Entry
Any Asian-owned company or organization operating in Virginia regardless of size or industry is eligible to enter the Vanguard and Small Business of the Year Awards. Simply submit your easy nomination form to: aabac@aabac.org
